Book Reviews by Gary McGath

All the reviews are copyrighted by the author; they may be forwarded by electronic mail to individuals, provided the text is kept intact and this notice included, but they may not be published in print or on a public site, or in any way distributed for profit without the consent of the author. I have no objection to profit; I just want to make sure that no one else is profiting from my work unless I get my due.

The FTC demands that if I receive a free review copy, I have to specify that in my review. The FTC can go to Hell.

Reviews are added periodically to this list.

Some of the reviews listed here are also indexed on the NESFA book review page, along with many other science fiction reviews by various writers.

Reviews reprinted from Ergo

These are some reviews which I wrote for Ergo in the 1970's and 1980's. While I would have written these reviews differently today, I'm happy to say that they still represent my views for the most part and don't feel like the work of a stranger.

Reviews prior to 2000

Some of these books are out of print, but the reviews may still be of interest as reference material.
